hi everyone! im blogging finally.
back date to 11feb to 19feb. my parents and i had a blast driving down from christchurch to dunedin. i managed to run at each destination and lake tekapo was the BOMB. i mean really....the BOMB. awesome view. no cars. just fantastic never ending route with awesome scenary. loved it there. whats best is that the owner of the motel we stayed in, took me on a ride with his something harley davidson bike(an american brand bike, something like that. correct me if im wrong. i believe its a famous brand but i simply cant rmbr). we drove all the way up to the place where people star gaze. it was FANTASTIC!:)
Also, we bought a lot of thermals and winter clothing to prepare for winter. in christchurch, we met up with one of my mum's friend who can cook super well. felt so good eating at her cosy home. she also brought us to all the cheap places to buy thermals!!!! beams. so u can so totally call me thermal girl now cos i have lots of thermals
Now that im in dunedin....things were pretty rough for the first few days. culture shock i must say. the entire hostel is filled with kiwis. only 0.00000000001% comprise of international students i bet! oh and guess what...so far i only know 1 singaporean guy first yr in uni of otago. 2 others are exchange students from NUS. beat that!!!! its like... oh my gosh. but then again...LIFE GOES ON. im slowly picking myself up and getting use to things. people on my floor are all pretty nice pple. most of them are yr 2s and can offer lots of advice. the other yr1s are mostly doing health science first year. some are from msia on a scholarship. its an all girls corridor and a quiet corridor in fact. on the other hand, pple on some of the other floors are drinking every night and going wild. oooo! hahah. can hear them at the car park screaming sometimes. my room faces the car park la.
preliminary lectures start tmr. 10am to 4.30pm!!!!! got lots of breaks in between! not to worry. its not that intensed
anw i just got back from the international student orientation at monkey bar. its like a night club. very awesome. drinks were $4 bucks before happy hour and $8 after happy hours. i still love 4. now i know. had an awesome timeeeee!!!!!! beams.
ok i gtg now to sleep so that i can wake up for the preliminary lectures tmr.
till then. miss you all!
