my parents are FINALLY back from perth!
from an empty dining table to ---->

ok let me have a look.... from left:
1) mixed nuts( i love )! which includes almonds, macademia, pine nuts, walnuts, cashew nuts, raisins and many other nuts which i am not familiar with but taste great!:)
2) see the tupperware with blue cover behind? that is fish floss from bee cheng hiang. long story as to why it was flown from perth to singapore. but its going to go v well with bread!
3) two packets of arnotts biscuit. im glad my mum bought wheatmeal biscuit. ( corrine spare me ur crap ) thanks
4) shapes biscuit... no idea what is that man.
5)azzari panettone. wtf so difficult to spell. anw it is italian christmas cake which cost a bomb if bought in singapore. aus sells it cheaper. wheee! it is one heavy cake!
6) 6 scones from coles. the nutrition label on the box is VVV detailed. i am v impressed:)
moving on to the fridge----> it was pretty bare just yesterday, but today---->

top: APPLE STRUDEL. I LOVE IT TO THE MAX. nothing like apple strudels in singapore. one's tucked safely in the freezer. this one is half gone alr.
bottom: mudpie. why do they call it mudpie and not chocolate lava cake or smth. sounds nicer right???
moving on to the freezer----->

top: muffins to sandwich bacon which my mum bought. she said it will go well with lean bacon and poached eggs. all ready to nourish u know. haha!
bottom: meat pie. interesting. they are for my bros. they are meat lovers
ok i think that is about it for the sudden increase in food supply
i had to curb myself from eating today because we are having a buffet at fairmount later to celebrate my bro's 21st birthday. heard it was good! so had to leave stomach space for the buffet. behaving like a total singaporean... at least i dont overestimate myself to think that any amt is achievable for me...right? freaking excited.
1 side note.... i think im really pretty addicted to "sweet dreams". corrine kept calling twan and i hookers. sounds wrong totally! hahaha. hooked... thats why hookers... L A M E.
With the help of my maid, we started to bake our 1st 2 orders of banana cake! i think we have quite perfected our receipe. just that the cake is not the high rise cake cos i didnt put that much baking soda and baking flour but nonetheless still v yummy! in the midst of coming up with something to spice the cake up. thinking of improvising with fruits rather than sugar and more butter kinda thing. you see... thats what i call keeping customer welfare in heart. cheers to me. so in my own world
back on friday celia, yingxiu and i checked out food safari at suntec convention centre. the range of food was pretty good but did not have much sandwiches/bread related which are more of my thing... but tried a few stuff which was quite good...overall the place was packed with a lot of aunties who were eager to try the food sample. then lastly we watched the live cook show by violet oon. you know what... her helper kept eating and munching while on stage, thinking that the audience wont know. -.- big no no...lady. . . there was a lady sitting next to me and she was sleeping during the show la. the when violet oon said that food samples will be given out...she woke up. when the helpers were distributing the food sample, she was standing up to attract the attention of the helpers. ZOMGS. i was lucky enough to take the 2nd last sample. zomgs again. anw it was great catching up with the girls. glad that they loved the banana cake. baked it in e morning for them as well as collegues.
ps: insufficient sleep alert!!!
gtg
bye!
